Ron Dier began his earlier career as a designer for a custom carpet manufacturer, before drastically changing design paths when he began experimenting in a ceramics studio. What followed was an immersion in the world of earthenware forms, fueled by an artistic passion. Dier was covering floors eight hours a day, followed by seven hours a night sculpting– for the next three years.
Today he is renowned for his ceramic vessels finished in gold and platinum, his latest collections also include finely mounted one-of-a-kind minerals and fossils, and cutting edge fused glass. Along with this extensive home accessory line, Dier has created a lighting line using diverse mediums of metal, stone, ceramic, and glass. And most recently, Ron has ventured into the realm of fine art with commissions for sculptures.
Dier’s designs appear on the pages of Vogue, Metropolitan Homes, and Architectural Digest. The Royal Family of Saudi Arabia became a significant client, as well as Dubai’s Atlantis hotel and Viceroy Resorts. Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton around the world are using Dier sculptures in their lobbies and lighting in their suites, making his collection a prestigious and widely applicable line.
